The Lao Family and my many Mango Shakes
TAAL VOLCANO
Finally...After so many months of waiting and planning. We finally made it to Philippines to see my family. It had been so long that it made it so wonderful to finally see them. It was also my first time to show off Ron to the entire family. I unfortunately forgot to make flashcards to prep Ron of the tens of family members he would be meeting, but he overcame his shock quickly and really made the most of his time. My uncles too also felt that they needed to show off as well and they took us to so many places, even some tourist spots that I've never been to. We got boated upstream and into a waterfall. We took horses up a small island to look in an active volcano, and even made it to a real Philipino Beach. All other moments was with the infamous Lao eating, 24 hours of stuffing our faces with all the yummy fruits and Philipino cuisine. Ron ended up with an upset stomach. I warned him of the amount of food he would have to eat, but I guess learning by doing is the most effective way. At the end of our quick 5 days, we left Philippines happy, but sadly unfinished because of our quick trip. Now we know better and we will plan for a longer trip next time. We stole the Okeyas and brought them to our homeland.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JON AND BEN!
