Soup party!

I've realized that things like "Soup party", "Cricket party", and "business party" never really have anything to do with soup, cricket, or business. It's all code for DRINKING PARTY. This past weekend, we had an amazing experience. Our friends from Tokyo came and we got to show them around. It made us realize how cool Morioka actually is. We went to a nearby mountain and already the fall colors are showing, and showing beautifully. Ill have pictures later. We got to take them around and really realized that our little city had a lot to offer.

One of the places we went to was a bar that Ron and I have grown to love. Its a small sophisticated whiskey bar called "Lupin." The bartender (who we call Master) makes amazing drinks and when we went he invited us to his Soup Party. After dropping off our friends at the station, he picked us up and we went to his home where 12 other bar regulars were. We quickly realized that although there was soup. The real celebration was trying to finish a Sapporo keg that they brought. But we ended up spending 5 hours with these people, who many of only speak Japanese. It was an amazing time to meet amazing people and to further try out our Japanese. We left really full, really buzzed, and really happy. We walked home feeling like we were the luckiest people.

Nothing to do with soup, crickets, or business?!?!? (take that one out of context, eh?? hahaha). Great SCOT! My whole BELIEF system is Shot! (a la "Friends", something that Ross said once, anyone remember that one?.... Juuuuniiii.... I know you remember that one!... Miss (Mrs) Friends Maestro! Haha!!).

All code for a DRINKING PARTY?!?!? Those crazy Japanese! It's always the quiet ones I tell you!! (Stereotypes?? Anyone up for Stereotypes?? Anyone?) Wow! that is Clever! Especially the "Soup Party" one (the Cricket Party is just very imaginative, he he).

tbc.

Hey Guys!! This just in! Did you know that a common Male name in Hebrew is "Hayim" (HAH-YEEM).... Literally translated as "LIFE"(!!!!!!!!!)..... Life! can you believe it?? Some people are named Life! Wouldn't you like to be called Life??!! I always knew of the name in Hebrew, but I just now realized that, in English, it's like calling someone Life. So cool!

oh me god, M. Bordeoux... You are having a verbal spew moment! Perhaps it is now time for ye to actually go to Japan & visit Mr. Ron & Ms. Juni, or else you may have dire consequences such as a severe case of the emotional miss-everyone-up-in-SF virus! (prescribed by Dr. Vlad)

By the way, I too thought that Hayim is a really awesome name~. Now, is there a name for Death? That way, if you have two sons, two brothers, you should name them Life & Death. Wouldn't that be wonderful.....?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

That is Funny!! Life.....and Death!!! That WOULD be wonderful, hahaha (in a joking kind of way). I don't know the word for death.. i'll have to ask what that is... but I know the word for dead.... "Met". So... Hayim and Met. mmmm, nifty, neeeee~?

Joy, here's one who misses you as much as u miss ron and juni! Well, I first didn't realize either that the "friends from Tokyo" included me, haha.

Vlad, that's not my fault, it's time and money, you know. I'll come see you some time next year:) But you should really come to Morioka, honto ni kirei dakara!!

Ron & Juni, yeah, Morioka has so much to offer! I'm lucky now I have friends, you guys, in a place I hardly knew about. We should go see more places in and around the city, ne?
