Back by popular demand

Here are some pictures of the beach on Jodogahama.

The rocks on these beaches are tiny white rocks. It's like a foot massage every time you walk. This is me and the ALT in Miyako with a few of the girls that were in the festival.

Well, my dad asked for more pictures on Miyako and thinking of it, I...Ron... We should have. Miyako's coast is the Pacific Ocean so it's quite incredible to share the same ocean with those of you in Cali. The beach in Miyako is very different than the beach on the West coast of Japan and the West coast of the US. Instead of sandy beaches like in Akita, the Pacific Coast in Miyako is filled with coastal cliffs, which in itself is pretty cool. So thanks dad for telling me to put it up and if anyone wants more pictures, just let us know.

Miyako a Go-Go

so here is a picture of juni and i (Yes, it is me again.) paddle boating... awww we are lovers..

Enkai Banzai!

Last night (Saturday) we went to an enkai with Ron's co-workers. Dave took us to an izakaya (bar) that he likes and we had some good food. They had a twist on mozzerella cheese sticks that were AMAZING! My new favorite Japanese food. Haha its not even really Japanese. But we had a lot of fun that night. After the izakaya, there was a festival for a local shrine and Ron's co-worker took us there. It was so fun. The festivals that you see in anime, that's what this looked like. So these are pictures of the izakaya and the Hachimangu Festival.

The magnificent plan

OK so now that we have the blessed invention of the internet, I will challenge everyone to get hooked up with MSN so we can chat like little monkeys. I think the best time for us to be online will be 8am to 2pm our time, which will be 4pm to 10pm your time. This however probably won't happen until the weekend when we are actually around 8-2. Or for you night owls, I get back from work at 430ish which will make it the lovely hour of midnight. Whatever happens, just get msn and log on, we will find each other.

The City of Morioka

Sorry, the past blog was our apartment, but these pictures are from the city. This is the middle of downtown Morioka, so a little more busy than our area although its only a 30 minute bike ride apart. There are three rivers that run through the city so everything is very green and lush here. I'm sorry to brag, especially with the lack of water in California. Again, sorry... I should know better. Anyway enjoy, If you want more pictures I can put them up.
